Algoma District Services Administration Board is responsible for a wide range of Children's Services.
Children's Services provides leadership in the effective planning, management, development, and delivery of high quality child care services.
We fund a range of programs and support services for children, their parents and caregivers. This enables parents to make informed choices concerning their child's development through services that support that development.
Children's Services provides child care fee subsidy to eligible families. To find out more, please see the "What is Child Care Fee Subsidy?" section of this site.
We also manage a wage subsidy program. This program improves the salaries and benefits of child care workers and makes licensed care more affordable for all parents. The program also provides funding to service providers, which enhances staff stability.
Children's Services has a purchase of service agreement with a service provider to support children with special needs and their families.
Note: Algoma District Services Administration Board is not responsible for licensing of Child Care Programs. For information on the role of the Ministry in regards to licensing of Child Care Programs, Click Here.
