Type III

• Algoma EMS utilizes 16 Type III ambulances.
• The Type III are primarily 158" WB Demers diesels.

Type II (top)

• Algoma EMS utilizes 2 Type II ambulances to access narrow country/bush roads.

First Response Units (top)

• Algoma EMS has two (2) Ford Expedition 4x4 SUVs that are used as First Response Units (FRUs) as well as for administrative duties. There is one Expedition assigned to each of the Eastern and Western Divisions.

• Algoma EMS has one (1) Ford F150 4x4 pickup truck that is used as First Response Unit (FRU) as well as for administrative duties. The F150 is assigned to the EMS base in Richards Landing.

Emergency Support Unit Trailer (top)

• The Northern and Eastern sectors each have an Emergency Support Unit (ESU) trailer which houses extra patient care equipment that can be used for Multi-Casualty Incidents.
