How do I apply for Ontario Works?

 Step 1: THE APPLICATION PROCESS

There is a new online application for Ontario Works, available in both English and French.  Please click on link below:

If you are not able to apply online, you can print out an application to complete manually, in English or French:

Step 2:  FIND OUT WHAT INFORMATION YOU NEED.

All required fields on the application must be completed in order for it to be processed. To make this easier, gather all of the information listed on the document below before you start. You will need this for all persons listed on our application.

Step 3: SCHEDULE YOUR APPOINTMENT

If you are completing the Printable Application, you must contact your local office when you send it in to book your Verification Interview.

If you are completing an Online application, the Intake worker will contact you to schedule your Verification Interview. Please make sure you type in a phone number on your application where you can be reached.

Step 4: ATTEND YOUR APPOINTMENT

Please arrive at least 15 minutes before your appointment time and ensure that you have copies of all the documents required with you. Your eligibility will not be determined until all of the required documents are provided.
