The Ontario Works and Coordinated Client and Program Services Unit staff of the Algoma District Services Administration Board (ADSAB) are honoured as 2011 OMSSA (Ontario Municipal Social Services Association) Local Municipal Champions.
This recognizes the great work done by individuals or teams from amongst CMSM and DSSAB staff across the province. The people and projects being highlighted represent best practices and peer-recognized outstanding contributions to human services.
Pictured above centre (in green) is Tracey Brick, Director of Ontario Works. Gathered around are management and staff from Ontario Works, Coordinated Client and Program Services, Housing Services, Children's Services, and community partners working with ADSAB. Tracey has been instrumental in leading several human services initiatives at Algoma DSAB.
The initiative being recognized by this award is the Supportive Approaches through Innovative Learning (SAIL). It is a Ministry approved strategic learning process designed to enhance staff competencies throughout human services to achieve program and organizational excellence. Tracey's efforts have provided excellent professional development opportunities and she has also engaged management and staff from other departments of the organization.
Utilizing SAIL competencies provides opportunities to promote Integration through Collaboration by working closely with community partners to enable us to develop innovate projects that meet the needs of the people we provide services to in Algoma.
