img_size=&#8221;large&#8221; alignment=&#8221;center&#8221;][vc_empty_space height=&#8221;100px&#8221;][\/vc_column][\/vc_row][vc_row content_width=&#8221;grid&#8221; css=&#8221;.vc_custom_1597337749654{padding-top: 80px !important;padding-bottom: 80px !important;}&#8221;][vc_column width=&#8221;2\/3&#8243;][vc_empty_space height=&#8221;20px&#8221;]<div class=\"mkd-section-title-holder\">\n\t<h2 class=\"mkd-section-title mkd-section-title-medium\" style=\"color: #eb1f23;text-align: left\">\n\tChild Care Providers<\/h2>\n<\/div>[vc_column_text]<\/p>\n<div class=\"et_pb_row_inner et_pb_row_inner_0\">\n<div class=\"et_pb_column et_pb_column_4_4 et_pb_column_inner et_pb_column_inner_0 et-last-child\">\n<div class=\"et_pb_module et_pb_text et_pb_text_0 et_pb_text_align_left et_pb_bg_layout_light\">\n<div class=\"et_pb_text_inner\">\n<h3><strong>2020 Wage Enhancement Program<\/strong><\/h3>\n<p>The 2020 Wage Enhancement grant will continue to support an increase of up to $2 per hour, plus 17.5 per cent benefits for eligible centre-based staff.\u00a0 To align with the salary and wages of the school-based ECE in the Kindergarten program, the current salary cap is increased to\u00a0<strong>$27.75<\/strong>\u00a0per hour.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<h4><strong>Eligibility for Wage Enhancement<\/strong><\/h4>\n<p>All licensed child care centres are eligible to apply.\u00a0 Licensed centres or agencies created in 2020 are eligible to apply for wage enhancement in the year the program begins operation.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<h4><strong>Full Wage Enhancement<br \/>\n<\/strong><\/h4>\n<p>To be eligible to receive the full 2020 wage enhancement of $2 per hour plus 17.5 per cent in benefits, staff must:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Be employed in a licensed child care centre or agency;<\/li>\n<li>Have an associated base wage excluding prior year\u2019s wage enhancement of less than $25.75 (i.e. $2 below the wage cape of $27.75); and<\/li>\n<li>Be in a position categorized as a child care supervisor, RECE, or otherwise counted toward adult to child ratios under the Child Care Early Years Act.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>\u00a0<\/strong><\/p>\n<h4><strong>Partial Wage Enhancement<\/strong><\/h4>\n<p>Where an eligible centre-based position has an associated base wage rate excluding prior year\u2019s wage enhancement between $25.76 and $27.75 per hour, the position is eligible for a partial wage enhancement.\u00a0 The partial wage enhancement will increase the wage of the qualifying position to $27.75 per hour without exceeding the cap.<\/p>\n<p>For example, if an RECE position has a base wage rate, excluding the previous year\u2019s wage enhancement, of $25.90 per hour, the position would be eligible for wage enhancement of $1.85 per hour.<\/p><\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<p>[\/vc_column_text][vc_empty_space height=&#8221;20px&#8221;]<div class=\"mkd-accordion-holder clearfix mkd-toggle mkd-initial \">\n\t<h6 class=\"clearfix mkd-title-holder \">\n<span class=\"mkd-accordion-mark mkd-left-mark\">\n\t\t<span class=\"mkd-accordion-mark-icon\">\n\t\t\t<span class=\"icon_plus\"><\/span>\n\t\t\t<span class=\"icon_minus-06\"><\/span>\n\t\t<\/span>\n<\/span>\n<span class=\"mkd-tab-title\">\n\t\t<span class=\"mkd-tab-title-inner\">\n\t\t\t\t\t\t<span class=\"mkd-tab-title-main\">Ineligible Positions (Non-Program Staff)<\/span>\t\t\t\t\t<\/span>\n<\/span>\n<\/h6>\n<div class=\"mkd-accordion-content\">\n\t<div class=\"mkd-accordion-content-inner\">\n\t\t[vc_column_text]<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Cook, custodial and other non-program staff positions are not eligible for wage enhancement funding.<\/li>\n<li>SNR-funded resource teachers\/consultants and supplemental staff are not eligible for wage enhancement funding.<\/li>\n<li>The only exception to the above is if the position spends at least 25 per cent of their time to support ratio requirements;
