The Algoma District Services Administration Board is actively working with community agencies to connect residents to resources, services, programs, and various other supports during the COVID-19 pandemic. We have also set up a special program under the Social Services Relief Fund to help vulnerable persons that as a result of the crisis, are having financial difficulty paying for the necessities. You do not need to be in receipt of Ontario Works or the Ontario Disability Support Program in order to receive assistance from our office and you will not be required to pay the assistance back. COVID-19 TARGETED EMERGENCY LICENSED CHILD CARE SERVICES FOR SCHOOL AGE CHILDREN OF HEALTH CARE AND OTHER FRONTLINE WORKERS – January 2022

Algoma District Services Administration Board (ADSAB) is authorized by the Province of Ontario to provide targeted emergency child care for school age children of eligible health care and other frontline workers.

We are continuing to assess the need and capacity in partnership with existing licensed child care Service Providers. Limited Emergency Child Care spaces will be available and vary across the District of Algoma at no cost to eligible families for school age children up to 12 years of age.
