- 2001 became full time with Algoma District Paramedic Service in Dubreuilville and moved to Thessalon
- 2003 moved to Elliot Lake
- 2006 to 2008 Elected Vice President of CUPE Local 3631
- 2008 to 2012 and 2013 to 2015 Elected President CUPE Local 3631 Spring 2016 promoted to Commander/Operations Field Manager of Elliot Lake
- Fall 2016 promoted to Deputy Chief
- 2020 recipient of the 20 year Exemplary Service Award

- 2002 began my Paramedic journey as an EMA, working as a Casual employee while attending Confederation College
- 2005 received my A-EMCA in July and became full time in Thessalon
- 2007 to 2013 member of the Executive Committee of CUPE Local 3631 in various roles
- 2012 to 2016 Health & Safety Representative for the Thessalon Worksite
- 2013 became Work Group Leader in Thessalon, responsible for ‘purchasing and stores’ for medical supplies for the service
- 2016 successful candidate to the position of Commander of Operations
- 2018 – current promoted to position of Deputy Chief of Paramedic Services
- 2025 recipient of the 20 year Exemplary Service Award

- 2016-Began career as a PCP with Algoma District Paramedic Services as a relief part time paramedic.
- 2016 to 2021- Continued as a PCP taking the opportunity to post in to each of Algoma’s Eastern stations, soon accepting a full time role in 2018.
- 2021 to current-Promoted to Commander of Operations for Blind River, Thessalon & Richards Landing.

Shani Lattett

- Shani graduated from Ontario Business College in 1997 and spent 16 years in the business and financial sector, starting as a bookkeeper/payroll clerk and advancing through professional development to become a licensed mortgage and mutual funds investment specialist with one of Canada’s five major financial institutions.
- In 2014, Shani graduated from CTS, successfully passed the A-EMCA, and began her career as a Primary Care Paramedic in Wawa. She transitioned to the White River Base in 2017 and served as Health and Safety Representative from 2019 to 2022.
- In June 2022, Shani was promoted to Commander of Logistics, a role she thrives in and continues to hold today.

- Experienced in heavy machinery operations, architectural work, and owner operator of small business, and work for Algoma Ore
- Began career as an Emergency Medical Attendant (EMA) at The Lady Dunn General Hospital Ambulance Service in Wawa (1992)
- Earned EMCA certification through Cambrian College (2002)
- Transitioned to a full-time paramedic role with Algoma EMS at the Dubreuilville station in 2003
- Return to Wawa Station a year later as a full time medic
- Appointed Work Group Leader in Wawa, 2021
- Serves as a Peer Support team member
- Was a Member of the Paramedic Service Advisory Committee
- Promoted to Commander in Fall 2025
